Lumbrokinaze is a fibrinolytic (fibrin-dissolving) enzyme which dissolves inert fibrin, the cause of blood clots. It was founded by Dr. Hisashi Mihara, Professors emeritus of Miyazaki Medical College, and he presented his study at the International Society & Thrombosis and Hemostasis Conference in Stockholm in 1983.

Lumbrokinaze is the plasmin that directly dissolves only fibrin, which causes thrombus. Without harming the veins, Lumbrokinaze is effective in diseases caused by thrombus such as myocardial infarction, diabetes, cerebral infarction, heart disease and high blood pressure. Lumbrokinaze is the first oral thrombolytic enzyme in the world.

Originally, Lumbrokinase-containing supplement has been developed for human, and it became very popular in Japan. Then, we developed for animals, it has been used at animal hospitals in Japan. Veterinarians use the supplement to treat dogs and cats with lifestyle diseases -- just like humans -- such as heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and cataracts.
